FAQs

Before the visit

We look at comfort, mobility, appetite, breathing and the good-day to bad-day ratio. Audrey will talk this through with you and give gentle guidance so you can make a decision that feels right for your family.

Gold Coast, Logan and South Brisbane. If you are just outside these areas, please ask. We do our best to help and will confirm any travel fee before booking.

We do our best to accommodate urgent requests. If we cannot get there safely in time, we can guide you to an emergency clinic.

Please call or text. We will talk you through next steps and help to refer to a crematorium that will be able to help. We don’t co-ordinate aftercare under those circumstances, we refer to crematorium for collection.

Choose a quiet spot where your pet is most comfortable. Have a favourite bed or blanket ready, dim the lights if you like, and let close family be present. Please let us know about parking or gate codes.

Yes. We explain in simple, age-appropriate words and move at your pace. Other pets are often comforted by a calm goodbye and can be brought in when you are ready.

Yes. We start with gentle sedation and take time so your pet relaxes. Please let us know about any behavioural concerns so we can plan the visit.

We can still help. If access or lifting could be difficult, we will plan the space and aftercare logistics with you beforehand.

During the visit

Audrey will explain each step. A gentle sedative is given first so your pet is relaxed and free from anxiety. When everyone is ready, the final medication is given. You can hold your pet and take the time you need.

No. The sedation makes them comfortable and sleepy before the final medication. Most pets drift off peacefully.

Most visits take 45 to 90 minutes. There is no rush.

Of course. We will support whatever feels right for you.

If you are unsure at any point, say so. We will pause and talk through concerns.

Aftercare Coordination

We don’t perform cremation, but we can arrange cremation through our partner crematorium. Alternatively, we can transfer the pet to the crematorium of your choice.

Individual cremation with ashes returned, or communal aftercare where ashes are respectfully scattered by the crematorium.

Return times vary by provider. Usually, within 14 business days. We can follow up with our partner crematorium for you. If you have your own crematorium choice, they will be able to confirm the expected timing and contact you when they are ready.

We can transport for private cremation if under 40kg, with a nominal cost of $30. Over 40kg, we will coordinate with the crematorium to collect from your home. You may also transport your pet yourself if you prefer.
